When do points on license drop off?
Point longevity depends on your state. In Wisconsin, for example, traffic convictions will remain on a driving record for five years (alcohol related offenses, however, remain for 10 years to life). In Maine, points for a traffic conviction are removed after only one year. And points in Massachusetts are dropped after six years (serious offenses are permanent).
