In this way, the DMV can be assured that drivers are getting standardized education in return for a dismissal of a citation and a clearing of the driving record. The DMV and traffic schools work together to make sure drivers are getting proper driver’s education and that the law regarding citation dismissal is being carried out properly. The DMV doesn’t teach traffic school itself; rather, it provides..
