Driving Record Points

If you're convicted of a traffic violation, points will be added to your NM driving record.

When you reach 6 points, you'll receive a warning notice in the mail. When you accumulate 7 to 10 points within 1 year, the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) may suspend your driver's license for up to 3 months.
